The Tomball Lions Club utilized funds provided by the Lions Club International Foundation for Special Christmas to aid families affected by the Hurricane Harvey Disaster. Mrs. Christy Lieder organized a group of people from Salem Lutheran Church located in Tomball, Texas. Mrs. Lieder and her group have been feeding flooded residents and workers in Cypress, Texas specifically in Ravensway. The subdivision located in Northwest of Houston was affected by the Cypress Creek flooding with 30+ inches of rain from Hurricane Harvey. She got to know all of the families on a very personal basis.  When Tomball Lions Club Treasurer asked her to find a very deserving family, she suggested this family of 10 to become the recipient of the LCIF Harvey Relieve Christmas Grant of $1000. The Tomball Lions Club is so happy that they can make a small difference in this disaster relief effort.
