TBLC Texas Lions Camp Annual Scholarships Presentation
The TBLC Annual Texas Lions Camp Scholarship was presented to the Texas Lions Camp Counselors. TBLC Camp Rep. John Phillips (3rd from left) and Texas Lions Camp Leader (far right) are pictured with the three Lions Camp $750 scholarship recipients.
On an annual basis the Tomball Lions Club presents 3 scholarship designated by camp leaders of $750 each. The scholarships are designated by the club to the college of the recipient's choice.
In addition, this year the TBLC presented a check for $1000 for general maintenance to be used to enhance the camp's general facilities that are used for the special needs children during the summer camp season.
The Tomball Lions Club meets at noon at the restaurant on Highway 249 twice monthly. The club promotes pairing glasses with those who need help with their vision and sponsoring the participation of young physically-challenged campers for a week at the Lions' camp in Kerrville.
