Lions helping inmates with eye glasses

Guest Speaker for the Tomball Lions Club meeting on Friday, February 9th, will be Lion John Griffin, Chaplain with the Montgomery Lions Club. Lion John has been a Texas prison Chaplain for a dozen years. His decade old dream came to fruition in 2023 as the Lions Club screened and fitted over 1,000 inmates with eye glasses. Lion John was a commercial pilot for years after the United States Air Force. He has a bachelors degree in international business. Built a new home in the Woodlands when the population was only 20,000 people. Married to Kay for 56 years, and they have two sons. Lion John and his family have traveled to over 110 foreign countries where he has visited Lions Clubs in many of those countries. The Tomball Lions Club meets from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Martha's Mexican Restaurant, 1025 Alma Street in Tomball. Visitors are always welcome to join our meetings and to join our Club. History of the Texas Lions Foundation

Guest speaker at the Tomball Lions Club regular members meeting on Friday, March 22nd, will be Past District Governor Chuck Martin, a member of the Houston Cy-Fair Lions Club. PDG Chuck will discuss the Texas Lions Foundation. He will give a history of the Foundation along with explaining how the Foundation can help the Tomball Lions Club. The Tomball Lions meet on the 4th Friday of the month from 12:00 - 1:00 PM at Martha’s Mexican Restaurant, 1025 Alma Street in Tomball. Guests are always welcome to join their meetings. |

The Tomball Lions Club car show will be on May 5, 2024, Rain or Shine. Putting on an enjoyable and safe show is our highest priority. We hope you understand and continue to support this show this year and in the future. We want to make sure that we have an outstanding show for everyone to include the spectators, participants, and especially those beautiful cars/trucks/motorcycles. We cannot wait to see the cars that we get this year! Pre-registration is now open and will remain open until May 1, 2023 at 11:59 PM.

Pre-Registration is $25. The first 150 Pre-Registrations will receive a Dash Plaque the day of the car show!

Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas

Guest speaker at the Tomball Lions Club meeting on Friday, May 24th will be Mr. Taylor Sills with Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas. Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas is a 1-year faith based recovery program for men, women and teens struggling with life controlling issues. Started in 1958 by Pastor David Wilkerson in New York City, the organization currently has over 300 campuses across the world with a 78% success rate. Taylor Sills is a graduate and heads up the Development and Marketing for the Houston area men's campus located off FM-1774 in Magnolia, Texas. The Tomball Lions Club meet from 12 Noon to 1:00 PM on the 4th Friday of the month at Martha's Mexican Restaurant & Grill, 1025 Alma Street in Tomball. Guests are always welcome to join our meetings.

Guest speaker at the Tomball Lions Club meeting on Friday, June 28th, will be Attorney Susan Bulgawicz with the Bulgawicz Law Firm. Have you ever wondered what important estate planning documents you should have in place RIGHT NOW? Attorney Susan Bulgawicz practices Estate Planning, Elder Law and Probate in Tomball. She will give you this important list and the downsides if you do not have these documents in place. She will also briefly explain the Probate process and options to avoid probate. Come and get your estate planning and probate questions answered.
