TOMBALL LIONS CLUB
 
RECYCLED EYEGLASSES
 
Usable Glasses Give New Life.  Refractive errors can be easily corrected with eyeglasses; yet millions living in low and middle income countries as well as in the U.S. lack access to basic eye care services.  Lions have recognized the urgent need for corrective lenses and therefore collect usable glasses to support the Lions Recycle for Sight Program.
 
 
The Tomball Lions Club collects used eye glasses which are turned in monthly for delivery to the Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center (LERC) in Conroe, Texas.  This Center is operated by the Conroe Noon Lions Club and staffed solely by Lion volunteers. 
 
Our Club currently has collection boxes at the following sites:
  1. Main Tomball Collection Box is a converted US Mail drop box, painted the Lions Yellow and Blue.This box is located in front of D-S Lawn & Automotive located at 703 W. Main Street, Tomball, TX.D-S Lawn & Automotive is owned by Lion David McClinton.
       2. Salem Lutheran Church has Lions Collection boxes; location is 22601 Lutheran Church Road, Tomball, TX 77377 - Located in lobby of Salem Lutheran Church.
 
     3. Veterans Administration Clinic-Tomball has a Lions Eye Glass Collection box inside the waiting area. The VA Clinic is located at 1200 W. Main Street Tomball, TX
     4. Vision Works has a Lions Collection box; location is 14002 FM-2920 W, Unit B, Tomball, TX
     5. America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses has a Lions Collection box; location is 14223 FM-2920, next to the Academy store.
     6. Mann Eye Associates has a Lions Collection Box; location is 14079 FM 2920, Tomball, TX 77377.
     7. Houston Eye Associates has a Lions Collection box at 5211 FM 2920, Ste 102, Spring, TX 77388 (near HEB at Gosling Road/FM2920).
     8.  Today's Vision Creekside has a Lions Collection Box; location is 25640 Kuykendahl Rd, Unit G, Tomball, TX  77375 (next to a Chick-fil-A; near the intersection of Hufsmith Rd.
     9. Tomball Emergency Assistance Ministries (TEAM) has a Lions Collection box at 300 W. Main Street, Tomball, TX 77375.
   10. Church of the Good Shepherd has a Lions Collection Box; location is 715 Carrell, Tomball, TX 77375.
   11. Wink Family Eye Care; Location is 14119 Grant Rd. Suite 200, Cypress, Tx, 77429
   12. Texas State Optical North Spring, located at 24504 Kuykendahl Rd, Tomball, TX 77375
