Families Feeding Families is organized by business people and community volunteers. The goal of the group is to provide a meal for the day before Thanksgiving that will feed people in need. They served those that need a hot meal, those in need of companionship or those that need a prayer and or a hug! They served a traditional Thanksgiving meal with all of the trimmings. In addition, health services are provided (flu shots, haircuts, vision screening) and free giveaways.
Families Feeding Families has become a holiday tradition for many families in our community, and continues to grow year after year. Meals were also taken to local nursing homes. All volunteers will eat with the attendees. In addition to the hot meals, free face painting for children and children’s activities.
Tomball Lions Club performed vision screening for youngsters and young adults at the 14th Annual Families Feeding Families event on Wednesday, November 27th at Salem Lutheran Church Community Center.
