The Tomball Lions Club presented the Fund Assistance Check of $4,000 annual allocation made by the club to help the Lone Star College (LSC) Tomball. The funds are to be used to fund 5 scholarships of $800 each for worthy students from the three high schools (Tomball, Tomball Memorial and Concordia Lutheran) in Tomball. The Tomball Lions Club was so blessed this year that they were able to continue to provide aid to Lone Star College (LSC) annually.
The students are selected by the college utilizing certain vetting criteria.
The Lone Star College is an Open-Enrollment Institution. Most students are accepted once they have completed the admissions process. The new student must follow a checklist to complete the admissions process and become a LSC student.
They offer many Types of Degrees & Certificates. Associates of Arts, Science, Applied Science, Arts in Teaching Degree, Certificates, Fast Track, and Individual Transfer Classes. They also offer classes in Workforce Education with full credit and non-credit program. Once they have applied, they can complete the Campus Health, Safety, & Risk-Management Awareness (CHSRMA) online modules to help foster a supportive learning environment and completion to become a new student.
