Their Mission -- Partnering with Tomball, Magnolia and Waller groups to provide a Thanksgiving meal for low to moderate income individuals. The event is from 11 a.m. to 3 PM on Wednesday, November 21st at Christ Bridge Fellowship Church, 29510 Tomball Pkwy., Tomball, TX. Last year (2017) about 1,800 meals were served including about 600 being delivered to shut-ins, homeless, and nursing homes. Attendees can obtain flu shots and haircuts at no cost. Face painting is performed on the youngsters and, this year, the Tomball Lions Club will be performing Vision Screening for the youngsters (Lion volunteers are needed to assist from ~10:30 a.m. to 3 PM). Also, Lions are encouraged to help volunteer for the overall event as needed (please wear your yellow Lions vest). Donations for this event can be made on-line at: www.familiesfeedingfamilies.com . A donation of $24.99 will feed 4 people. This is a tremendous event and opportunity “To Serve” families in need on the day before Thanksgiving.
Lion President Bubba Hardee then presented guest speaker Camille Hamilton with a $500 donation from the Tomball Lions Club to help fund the Families Feeding Families event on November 21.
