Lion Treasurer Al Gerhardt of the Tomball Lions Club has been contacted by Heart for Texas Hurricane Harvey Relief Group to assist them with bedding for approximately 70 families in District 2-S2.
Last year District 2-S2 helped buy bedding for over 200 families in over 39 zip codes in the areas affected by the hurricane. As most of you probably know there are still families in need of assistance. Heart for Texas and several churches joined forces after the hurricane to help with sheet rock, flooring and furniture and are asking that we help with additional bedding. The cost of the bedding for this current group of families comes to just over $5,000. Heart for Texas appreciates the Lions Clubs and District 2-S2 for the aid that has already been provided.
If anyone is interested in assisting with this project, please send a check to Lion Treasurer Al Gerhardt of the Tomball Lions Club at the address provided below and he will make sure that all funds are given to Heart for Texas to purchase the bedding.
