Dr. Nutt gave a very interesting and informative presentation on LSC-Tomball’s special academic programs for high school and college students as well as the Academy for Lifelong Learning available to seniors for $20 annual membership.  The LSC-Tomball campus was started 30 years ago and currently has an enrollment of 8,299 students with 1,155 students at the LSC-Creekside Center.  The duel credit program with Tomball ISD has been popular and allows high school students to earn college credits.  The program currently has 1,715 students. Available adult facilities include the Wellness Center, Performing Arts Center, the Beckendorf Conference Center and the Harris County Public Library.  Dr. Nutt gave a special thank-you to the Tomball Lions Club for providing annual student scholarships.

Lion President Hardee then led members and guests in congratulating Lion Al Gerhardt for receiving the 2019 Distinguished Achievement Award from the Past District Governors Association of Lions District 2-S2.  That award will be formally presented to Lion Al at the awards luncheon on Saturday, April 27th at the District Convention.  Lion Al, in acknowledging the award, commented on the importance of our Club working closely with our District officers.
