On August 27, 2021, Jennifer Park, Founder and Director of Moving Waters Ministry, spoke to the Tomball Lions Club membership about what she is doing to help the homeless. Pictured above from left to right are: Past President Mike Halbach, Speaker Jennifer Park (holding a $500 check from the TBLC) and Director Karen Halbach.

Jennifer Park talked about helping the homeless in a way that will "make a difference". The Moving Waters Ministry was founded by Mrs. Park in 2019. Moving Waters aims to improve the quality of life for homeless individuals across the Greater Houston area by providing mobile showers and hygiene stations through partnerships with other assistance organizations. The Tomball Lions Clun has now included annual funding of $500 in our budget process. It is our pleasure to be part of this wonderful organization (see photos below).

It is a universal truth that a hot shower can feel transformative! Moving Waters offers showers via a mobile shower trailer to homeless individuals who lack access to regular (and hot) showers.Showers are available each Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 PM at Tomball United Methodist Church. Go to www.movingwaters-houston.org for more information on her ministry.

The Tomball Lions meet each 2nd and 4th Friday from 12 Noon to 1:00 PM at Pecos Grilling Company, 28900 Tomball Parkway.  Visitors are always welcome to our meetings.
