Camille provided history and information about the Families Feeding Families event which will be held at the Salem Lutheran Church (Tomball) Community Center on Wednesday November 26th. Camille has been actively involved with this group since its initial event on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving in 2011. Since Families Feeding Families' Inaugural event, each year has set a record for attendance and people served. Outreach has been extended to homeless and elderly shut ins. Participants are now able to receive flu shots and information on how to get help from local resource groups like the Tomball Lions Club who will be providing Vision Screening.
A special guest at our October 24th meeting was Anna Prathipati who, as part of a college class, needed to attend a service club meeting. She chose our Club, and we shared a lot of information with her on how the Tomball Lions Club "Serves the Tomball Community".
Another special guest at our meeting was Szilvia Konya. She works for Keller Williams. We met her when she was selling the house across the street from us. She said that she was looking for a place to volunteer. Eva and I invited her to come to our 4th Friday Meeting.
