Fund Assistance Presentation – Tomball, Texas
Tomball Lion Treasurer Al Gerhardt presented the Annual Fund Assistance Check to the Tomball Families Feeding Families Board of Directors.
The Tomball Lions Club presented the check of the $1,000 allocation by the club to help the Tomball Families Feeding Families provide Thanksgiving meals to families that would not otherwise have a hot Thanksgiving meal in the Tomball Community. On November 26, 2025, the Families Feeding Families event will take place at Salem Lutheran Church Community Center at 22601 Lutheran Church Rd, Tomball, TX 77377. Over 5,000 meals are planned to be served to those that attend. Meals are also taken to local nursing homes. All volunteers will eat with the attendees.
Families Feeding Families has become a holiday tradition for many families in the Tomball community and continues to grow year after year. It is anticipated that there will also be around 1000 outbound meals for shut-ins and the homeless. Budget for this year’s event is over $80,000. The Tomball Lions Club is happy to partner with them in helping to meet the budget of this wonderful undertaking. Around 400 volunteers will help make this a successful event.
In addition to the hot meals, they will offer free flu shots, haircuts and children’s activities. In addition, the Tomball Lions Club will be doing free vision screening. Spanish translation will be provided.
