Annual Donation Presentation
On November 14, 2025, the Tomball Lions Club (TBLC) made their annual donation to Camp Hope, an initiative of the PTSD Foundation of America. The club’s Treasurer, Al Gerhardt, presented a $1,500 check during Camp Hope’s Annual Cook Off at Houston Race Park. The presentation was attended by Camp Hope veterans Dexter Davis Director of Support and Giving, Chris Knight, Doug Bailess President of Braden Bailess Foundation, Treasurer Al Gerhardt, and Joel Holder Coordinator.

Camp Hope’s Mission and Impact
During the event, attendees discussed the vital role Camp Hope plays in supporting combat veterans dealing with PTSD. Camp Hope provides a safe and supportive environment where veterans can access the resources they need to live healthy, fulfilling lives. Al Gerhardt expressed his gratitude that Camp Hope welcomes all veterans, regardless of when they served, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to inclusivity and support for the veteran community.

Veterans in need of support are encouraged to contact the Combat Trauma Help Line at 877-717-PTSD (7873). This helpline is staffed 24/7 by individuals who have faced similar challenges. Camp Hope offers programs, outreach services, and advocacy to help veterans find the resources they need for a healthy life after combat.
