Lion President Bob Ervin then introduced guest speaker, Tomball Mayor Gretchen Fagan. Mayor Fagan gave an update on the various ongoing improvement projects in the City including resurfacing Hwy 249 and Main Street; Medical Complex Drive and Huffmeister-Kohrville Road improvements. The new Tomball Business and Technology Park announced their first tenant last Fall when Packers Plus Energy Services announced acquiring approximately 18 acres in the Park to build their R&D, manufacturing and corporate HQ’s. More recently General Electric acquired 6 acres in the Park for an expansion. Mayor Fagan gave a progress report on relocation of the Texas Railroading Heritage Museum to the Historic Depot area with the actual time table depending on relocation cost funding and funding drives. A Q&A session followed the Mayor’s presentation.
